#6. The Pelvis

The pelvis, which means “basin”, serves to hold the organs of digestion and reproduction. It is a keystone body structure, balancing movements of the vertebral column with those of the lower body. This workshop will explore the anatomical significance of the pelvis, including bones, muscles, connective tissue structures, and organ positions. We will also study how awareness in this part of the body can influence the alignment of our hips and legs in standing and seated asana.
