Physical sensations—cold and heat, pleasure and pain— are transient: they come and go; so bear them patiently, Arjuna.
— Bhagavad Gita, 2.14

 asana workshop

level: experienced students, $30 in advance / $35 day of

Discover, develop & maintain the strength behind balance. Iyengar yoga practice shows the way to discover balance and tolerance of the conditions of the moment.  Through the practice of āsana, learn & explore how to bring physical, physiological (hormonal), mental & emotional balance through the practice of long inversions, both supported and unsupported. Hormonal balance involves navigating seasonal changes of shifting temperatures, changing daylight hours & levels of sun exposure, in addition to navigating the pressures and changing duties of our lives. Practicing long inversions and supported backbends fortifies the immune system and calms reactions to our changing environment and stress.
